This Is How LoL Ranked System Works

You are now a League of Legends veteran. You were able to unlock all Summoner Spells, and you used some of your Blue Essence to help you choose a champion that caught your eye. You’re now sitting there, with time on your side. What are you going do?

My extra time would allow me to go to League’s ranked mode and climb that ladder . That’s actually one of my favourite things to do.

If you are new to League of Legends ranked, I understand how confusing it can be at first. There are many tiers and divisions that you can climb, to the point where some people want to just run after trying to figure them out. Keep going because I will help you by explaining the League of Legends ranking system.

LoL has more than 115,000,000 monthly users and is one of the most loved PC games.

The MOBA’s tactical gameplay and wire selection of champions make it unique and challenging. As with all games like this, it is important to distinguish the Challengers and the scrubs in competitive play.

What does the League of Legends’ best player do to prove their worth? What do the best League of Legends players do to avoid being matched by low-level players? All of this is possible thanks to LoL’s ranking system.

Many people ask questions such as: What rank are they called? How many ranks are there? How many people are at the top rank? Which one should I start in? We’re here to answer all your questions. Let’s get going, shall we?

League of Legends has nine levels to the league ranking system. Each tier is divided into four divisions. Four are the lowest possible tiers and one the highest.

To move up the tiers and divisions, you must earn League points (LP).

LP is earned for winning games with your team.

What number of points can you win? That number is determined by your Matchmaking Ranking (MMR). You will get more LP if you win against a team having a higher Matchmaking Rating (MMR) than you do if you win against a smaller MMR team.

You will lose LP if you don’t win a match.

Rage quitting can also be a way to lose LP.This is something you should avoid.Again, the amount of LP that you lose will depend on your MMR and the MMR of your opponent.

Your division and tier will be locked once a ranked season is over.

This will be your official rank for the season.

You will be rewarded with ingame rewards, such as special skins, once you have reached that tier. Your tier at the end will determine the quality and amount of rewards that you receive.

League of Legends has nine ranks, each with its own name. These are the names:

  • Iron
  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Master
  • Grandmaster
  • Challenger

There are four divisions in each of these – as I said before, four being the lowest and one the highest. If you win the majority of the games, you will be able to move up to division 4 in the tier above once you have reached 100LP in the division you are in.

Because it’s not easy to get to the top, a large percentage of players will remain in Silver or Gold.

You will need to dedicate a lot of time and effort to get to Platinum. A great way to accomplish this is to focus on a few champions and then check the patch notes to see meta-changing buffs or nerfs.

League of Legends boasts a large global player base. This game has around eight million players every day. How many players can boast about being part of the top competitive team? How many players don’t make it to Iron or out?

The end of Season 10 of League of Legends will be November 10, 2020. If you read this post after November 10, 2019, Season 10 is already over.

Here are the latest numbers from Season 10 across all regions:

Solo Quue Ranking – % Playerbase

  • Iron – 4.5%
  • Bronze – 21%
  • Silver – 33%
  • Gold – 27%
  • Platinum -10%
  • Diamond – 2.3%
  • Master – 0.034%
  • Grandmaster – 0.028%
  • Challenger – 0.012%
  • Silver (33%), and gold (27%) are the most populous tiers.

This shows that not many people made it to the top tier of gold.

From Diamond onwards you can see a significant drop in the number players in these tiers.

Only 0.12% of League players reach the Challenger rank.

We can conclude that approximately 1500 players are capable of reaching the top tier if we use Riot’s eight million players per day figure.

Also, it’s worth noting that players can lose LP over the course of time once they reach Platinum. This means that you must continue playing League of Legends during the season to keep your high ranking account intact.

You will need to meet some criteria in order to be ranked in League of Legends. To begin, you must meet the following criteria:Level 30Or higher. You can’t play ranked if you haven’t reached level 30.

To play, you must have 16 or more champions. After you have checked these boxes, you can start placing matches. This is where the real fun begins.

Placement matches are a great way to improve your mental health. These matches will determine which competitive tier you start in. You will be placed in the Iron Division if you lose the majority of your games. This is the lowest division. You may be promoted to the Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers if you win many games and perform well. You’re a great player. However, if you do find yourself in a losing streak, don’t panic. Check out our guide on how to end a losing streak.

After you have completed your placement matches, your tier will be assigned to you. Then it’s time for you to begin your journey to Challenger.

LoL Season 11 Changes

It’s difficult to predict what will change in Season 11. However, there are many experiments that will take place during the preseason. Also, we heard that there will be changes in seedings and matchmakings for Season 11 Preseason.

Once Season 11 is over, you will be able to start climbing the ladder knowing everything you need about League of Legends’ ranked system.
